Summer Programs______________________________

2024 High School Summer School

alt=""Classes are free for 天涯社区 high school students. Those interested should check with their school counselor to make sure they sign up for the right courses and to sign out a laptop. 

天涯社区 students completing the eighth grade this year may take classes for high school graduation credit.

Out-of-district students may attend 天涯社区 summer school classes for a flat fee. Please contact the Summer School office at 970-488-4970 or email bkatz@psdschools.org for additional information.

  • Session 1:
    • Registration for Session 1 is available March 1 through May 20.
    • Registration for Session 1 Physical Education ends May 2
    • Classes available Monday, April 1, through Thursday, May 23.
  • Session 2: 
    • Registration for Session 2 is available May 21 through June 25.
    • Registration for Session 2 Physical Education ends June 6
    • Classes available Thursday, June 3, through Friday, June 28.

Youth Police Academy June 3-6

The 2024 Youth Police Academy is open to all students currently in grades 9-12. Those attending will participate in interactive police scenarios, first responder demonstrations, team building and more. 

Interested students should connect with their school resource officer or call (970) 416-2388. Application instructions are available in the SRO office, counseling office or at Fort Collins Police Services.

Genius Week June 3-6Lesher Genius Week Summer 2024 - Text is in the linked document.

Genius Week, designed for highly-motivated students finishing grades 5-8 this year, will be held June 3-6 at Lesher Middle School, 1400 Stover Street, Fort Collins. The  is open to any student currently in fifth grade through graduating seniors. Classes are taught by professional music educators – often, the teachers students will have either in middle school or high school. Three class levels will be offered:

  • Advanced program: For students who will be in high school next school year.
  • Beginning and intermediate programs: For students who will be in middle school next school year.

City Programs

  • Reduced-Fee Program for Family Activities

The City of Fort Collins offers a reduced fee program for qualified families to purchase passes and pay for activities (community centers, pools, Recreator activities, sports teams) at a significantly reduced price. Families who qualify for the 天涯社区 free or reduced meals program are eligible for the city program by submitting their 天涯社区 free or reduced meals notification letter from the current school year.
